Decision Scale

Decision Scale

Weigh a two-way choice like an old balance scale. Give each topic an importance (positive if it's a plus, negative if it's a downside) and split it between your two options — same complement trick as before: move one side and the other adjusts to match. The pans keep a running total and the beam tips toward whichever option is winning.

No topics yet. Add one below — something like "cuddliness" or "maintenance".
Weight is how much a topic matters, roughly −10 to 10 — positive for something you want more of, negative for a downside (like maintenance). The slider says how much of that topic's weight belongs to each side; drag it toward whichever option earns more of it. Each pan's total is the sum of (weight × share) across every topic, and the beam tips based on how far apart those totals are.
